Looking to nominate a Hound for a 2025 National Alumni Award?
The National Alumni Association (NAA) has opened the nomination process for the 2025 Alumni Awards. Nominations for the following awards will be accepted until January 31, 2025.
FRANK GERMANN VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
Up to two recipients may be awarded annually to a Hound that is committed to volunteering for the betterment of the College.
MEDAL OF HONOUR
Up to two recipients may be awarded annually to a Notre Dame Alumni, former member of the faculty and/or friend of Notre Dame, who have demonstrated excellence, leadership and outstanding achievement, in their profession or occupation, or any endeavor of exceptional merit, thereby enhancing the well-being of Notre Dame and its students.
(Note: “Honorary Life Membership” award has been replaced with the “Medal of Honor”. )
THE MOONEY LEGACY AWARD
Up to one recipient may be awarded annually to a Hound, who like Lois and Bill Mooney, has shown a legacy of love, loyalty and dedication to all things Notre Dame and has been a guiding light for all alumni to maintain a lifelong relationship with Athol Murray College of Notre Dame.
JIMMY WILLIAMS MEMORIAL HOUNDS FOR HUMANITY AWARD
Up to one recipient may be awarded annually to a Hound who has gone out in the world and through their passion, dedication and commitment to bettering their community and humanity, have followed the selfless example of the one and only James “Jimmy” Williams.
(Note: The Mooney Legacy Award and Jimmy Williams Memorial Hounds for Humanity Award were inaugurated in 2023. )
The Ed & Louis Saucier Loyalty & Service Recognition Award was a special recognition in 2023 given to honour Edouard Saucier (Posthumous) and Louis Saucier for their lifelong commitment, loyalty, and dedication to Athol Murray College of Notre Dame.
